Who we are looking for:

Groundscapes is adding the position of Warehouse Inventory Director. Would you like to purchase the highest quality materials at the lowest possible cost for Groundscapes? What about Negotiate, renegotiate, and administer contracts with suppliers, vendors and other representatives? Individuals with experience in a landscaping and/or construction related role as well as procurement experience. We’re looking for a team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals and objectives. Someone that is detail-oriented, highly motivated with ability to effectively manage time.

 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and review computerized or manual records of items purchased, costs, deliveries, product performance and inventories
  • Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities and the supplier’s reputation and history
  • Evaluate and monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and determine needs for changes
  • Prepare purchase orders, solicit bid proposals, and review requisitions for goods and services
  • Negotiate, renegotiate, and administer contracts with suppliers, vendors and other representatives
  • Purchase the highest quality materials at the lowest possible cost in correct amounts
  • Monitor inventory for organization and supervise efficient working of staff according to company policies and prepare accurate records for all physical inventory
  • Manage all communication with all customer representatives and monitor all activities and perform troubleshoot on same, analyze results and recommend modifications and changes to inventory
  • Assist to hire and train all new recruits in inventory management
  • Coordinate with the inventory team and identify all obsolete inventory and resolve all issues in various inventory management
  • Resolve all warehouse discrepancies

Requirements:

  • 3 years of Fishbowl Software is REQUIRED
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Power Point, Word, Excel)
  • Experience in landscaping and/or construction role preferred
  • General knowledge of database utilization
  • Basic knowledge of all areas of procurement, including procurement execution, estimating, expediting, offsite supplier quality and site purchasing preferred
  • Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative
  • Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals and objectives
  • Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail

Position Benefits:

  • $25-30 per hour, depending on experience
